What Each Invitation Actually Means.
Cocktail
Knee-to-tea-length, smart but not overly formal. Structured midi dresses, polished prints, statement accessories. Most weddings you'll attend will be "cocktail" even if the invitation doesn't say so explicitly.
Black Tie
Floor-length or sophisticated long midi. Evening fabrics — satin, silk, velvet. Save the brightest prints for cocktail; choose elegant solids or refined prints for black tie.
Cocktail Attire
Slightly more polished than "cocktail." Midi or maxi length, more considered fabrics. A safe bet is a midi-length dress in a quality fabric with statement accessories.
Beach Formal
Lightweight maxi, breathable fabrics like rayon or linen blends. Avoid heavy fabrics that won't move in coastal breeze. Low heels or polished sandals.
Garden Party / Day Wedding

What is the difference between cocktail and black tie?
Cocktail is knee-to-tea-length, semi-formal, worn for events between casual and formal. Black tie is more formal — floor-length or elegant long midi in evening fabrics. As a guest, you can always lean slightly more formal when in doubt.
How long does delivery take?
Every piece ships within 10-14 business days.
Can I return a wedding guest dress?
Yes. Full-price purchases qualify for our free returns for store credit policy — 14 days from delivery, unworn with tags. Sale items are final sale (faulty items excepted).
Do I need a different dress for a daytime vs evening wedding?
Not necessarily — many of our pieces transition beautifully with different accessories. That said, evening weddings (especially black tie) generally call for slightly more formal fabrics like satin or velvet. Daytime weddings work well with rayons, cottons, and lighter prints.
Can I wear black to a wedding?
Yes, in most cases — though always check with the bride if you're close. Black is universally elegant for evening, cocktail and black tie weddings. We avoid black for daytime country, garden or beach weddings, where lighter colours photograph better in natural light.
How does the sizing work?
